Onto another list! For this one, it’ll be a list of things I know I need for the bike. Although I’ll try to get as much in here as I can I’m sure I’ll miss some things so I’ll try to add those if I can remember later.
- Frame
- Engine
- Engine, carbs/efi, ignition
- Transmission
- Chain drive (Washington choppers sells a sprocket/rear brake combo, need to look into this)
- Front and rear rims
- Front and rear tires
- Double front disc brakes
- Handlebars
- Battery
- Ignition and key
- Handlebar grips and throttle sleeve
- Hand controls
- Foot controls
- Floorboards
- Highway bars
- Fuel tank (Washington choppers sells a “Fat bob” tank that can have an imbedded speedo, need to remember this)
- Hoses
- Front forks and tree
- Instruments
Well… so far that list doesn’t look too long, but the ultimate question is going to be…. how much will it cost. I think the most expensive parts will be the frame, engine, transmission, and then the brakes.
Looking at this list, the major hurdles in my way currently are getting/making the frame, and doing a ton of research to make sure all of the parts will fit together.
